I’m a huge ice cream fan. I love the sweetness and creaminess of it. The inspiration for this nice cream came from my salsa last night. It’s so true that inspiration comes from the most common things! I love spicy and sweet combinations so this satisfied my cravings. The lilacs added a lemony taste to it that was quite pleasant! I never realized until recently that they were edible!
This nice cream is extremely simple with minimal ingredients. Simple recipes are my favorite thing to make as my days are usually quite busy.
Here is my secret ingredient! Yes, that’s a habanero! You might think that it is weird to use a spicy pepper in a dessert, but it works very well.
Slice it up and add to the blender. Make sure that you are wearing gloves, so that the oils don’t get on your skin and burn it.
Place it in a freezer proof container and let it set up for a few hours…. which was way too hard to do lol! I served mine with lilacs, but it tastes great even without them.
