You know those days when you just need chocolate for breakfast? Today was that day for me so I decided to make chocolate oatmeal. I had lots of blueberries, so I combined them with the oats and it is amazing!
It’s so simple too. First you cook down some blueberries until they make as sauce. Then you basically combine everything together and cook. That’s it! After it’s done, you top it with blueberries and any other desired toppings!
Chocolate Blueberry Oats
- 1 Cup Blueberries
- 3 Cups Water
- 1 1/3 Cups Oats
- 1 Tblsp Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 Cup Coconut Milk
- 1 Tblsp Maple Syrup optional
- Pinch Salt
In a saucepan, cook down the blueberries until it makes a sauce. Mash if desired.
Once it's cooked, add water and salt, then bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and add the remaining ingredients. Return to the heat and cook for approximately 10 minutes or until the oats are tender.
Remove from heat and cover for 5 minutes. Add desired toppings and serve.
