I needed pecan butter for a recipe, so I decided to try making it on my own and it turned out great! It’s so simple to make and tastes like pecan pie!
Start by toasting the pecans. You need to do this to bring out the oils and it gives it a richer taste.
Puree in the food processor for 6 minutes or until smooth.
- 1 Cup Pecans
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla
- 1/8 tsp Coconut Oil
- 1/2 tsp Maple Syrup optional
- Pinch of Salt
Toast pecans over medium heat stirring constantly for 4 - 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
Put everything in the food processor and puree until it makes a butter. Approximately 4 - 6 minutes. If it's not sweet enough, add a small amount of maple syrup.
