Orange & Anise Overnight Oats

I’m a big fan of the licorice taste that anise has. When you pair it with orange, oh my goodness, it’s so good! Here in Canada, this pairing is made into ice cream and I loved the combination of tastes. I decided to make it into breakfast oats and I am so happy with it! I used coconut charcoal to make it have the true black licorice appearance, but if you don’t have it, it won’t affect the taste! I topped it with sugar free anise nice cream!

When making this, I recommend wearing gloves and use separate spoons when handling the charcoal. The anise will make the whole kitchen smell amazing! Layer the two flavors and refrigerate overnight. If you do use the charcoal powder, just have a peak in the mirror after eating it as it can leave black traces on your lips.
