Spinach Dip (Vegan)

I love spinach dip, do you? Have you tried homemade, or just store bought? Homemade tastes 1000 times better than store bought, so I recommend that you try making it! It’s a creamy, tangy and delicious appetizer that will make you wanting more!

I FINALLY got the opportunity to try two flavors of Nuts For Cheese while on vacation last week, and I absolutely love their products! To find where you can buy it, or to order it online, click HERE. No, I’m not getting paid for this, I just love their products! The cashew cheese has the consistency of cream cheese, and is very easy to work with. When I seen this flavor, I knew that it would be great in a dip, and it did pair perfectly with the spinach.

I started by sautéing the onion and garlic in the oil until light brown. Add spinach in and cover for 1 minute so that the spinach can wilt. Stir until completely wilted.

Combine the cashew cheese and the yogurt until it’s smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until completely combined. I did add nutritional yeast to mine, but you can omit it if you aren’t fond of it. Bake and serve immediately with veggies or homemade tortilla chips. UPDATE: It was tried with a vegan mayo and had a less sweet consistency, so if you’d prefer, substitute that instead of the yogurt!

  2. I made this twice but the second time I used Vegenaise mayo instead of yogurt. I really liked this version as I found the yogurt a little sweet. I love nuts for cheese and this was a fantastic recipe! YUM!
