I love spinach dip, do you? Have you tried homemade, or just store bought? Homemade tastes 1000 times better than store bought, so I recommend that you try making it! It’s a creamy, tangy and delicious appetizer that will make you wanting more!
I FINALLY got the opportunity to try two flavors of Nuts For Cheese while on vacation last week, and I absolutely love their products! To find where you can buy it, or to order it online, click HERE. No, I’m not getting paid for this, I just love their products! The cashew cheese has the consistency of cream cheese, and is very easy to work with. When I seen this flavor, I knew that it would be great in a dip, and it did pair perfectly with the spinach.
I started by sautéing the onion and garlic in the oil until light brown. Add spinach in and cover for 1 minute so that the spinach can wilt. Stir until completely wilted.
Combine the cashew cheese and the yogurt until it’s smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until completely combined. I did add nutritional yeast to mine, but you can omit it if you aren’t fond of it. Bake and serve immediately with veggies or homemade tortilla chips.
Spinach Dip (Vegan)
Creamy and satisfying
- 120 g Nuts For Cheese Smoky Artichoke and Herb Cashew Cheese
- 1/4 Cup Unsweetened Coconut Yogurt
- 1/2 Tblsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/4 Red Onion (chopped)
- 2 Cloves of Garlic (crushed)
- 3 Cups Fresh Spinach
- 1 Tblsp Nutritional Yeast (optional)
Preheat oven to 350F/176C.
Sauté the onion and garlic in the oil until light brown. Add spinach in and cover for 1 minute. Remove lid and stir until completely wilted.
Combine the cashew cheese and the yogurt until combined. Add the rest of the ingredients, and stir.
Place into a baking dish and bake for 10-15 minutes.
