Warm and comforting drinks are a staple in cold weather. Watching the snow fall with a warm chai tea is great! Making your own mixes saves so much money and it’s so convenient. Plus, you can tweak it to your own personal preferences!
This recipe is so simple that I wonder why I have never made it before, and bought it instead. If you can’t find instant tea where you live, you can get it on Amazon. I made mine with hot water, but for a creamier version, use hot plant based milk.
Chai Tea Mix (Vegan)
A tantalizing beverage
- 1/2 Cup Instant Tea (unsweetened)
- 1/2 Cup Coconut Milk Powder
- 2/3 Cup Sugar (add more if desired)
- 1 tsp Ground Ginger
- 1 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cardamom
- 1/8 tsp Ground Nutmeg
- 1 tsp Vanilla Powder (optional)
Mix everything together until completely combined. If you can’t find vanilla powder, just add some vanilla extract to each mug.
Add 1 tablespoon of mix to 1 cup of hot water, or hot plant based milk for a creamier consistency.
