Almond Crème Fraîche


I’m absolutely in love with this vegan alternative! It has the taste of Crème Fraîche which I absolutely love.

Soak the almonds in warm water. I bought almonds with the skins already removed as I didn’t feel like peeling them.

Put into the blender and purée until smooth. Store in refrigerator until needed.

This vegan recipe is very close to Crème Fraîche. I love the consistency and taste of it

  • 2 Cups Whole Almonds
  • 2 Tblsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/3 Cup Water
  • 1/2 tsp White Pepper
  • 1/8 tsp Salt


  1. Pour almonds into a bowl and cover with warm water.
  2. Soak 3 hours or overnight.
  3. Drain and put into the blender along with other ingredients.
  4. Blend until completely smooth. Add more water if needed.
  5. Refrigerate until needed. Lasts up to 7 days in the refrigerator.
